These sweet nectarine pork shish kabobs are hands down my favorite kabobs and one of my all-time favorite summer meals. Tender, juicy pork marinated in a savory honey mustard sauce pairs perfectly with sweet grilled nectarines. There’s something about grilled fruit that just can’t be beaten!

Each bite is an explosion of citrusy flavor and the tender pork grills up with a sweet glaze that is mouthwatering. Each time we serve this to guests we get rave reviews! Start your grill and get ready to have everyone “wowing” over these amazingly nectarine delicious pork shish kabobs!

Nectarine Pork Shish Kabobs Ingredients

These pork kebabs are always a hit during the grilling months! It is a family favorite meal that we have on rotation that is simple to make and so hearty and filling at the same time. Create a marinade to start with, then layer the skewers in a pattern to evenly grill the ingredients!

  • Dijon mustard – Is made from black mustard seed which increases the spicy flavor of the mustard. This is an ingredient that is used a lot in marinades because it is full of so many different flavors and has a creamy texture and savory taste to it.
  • Honey – A natural sweetener that will add a subtle sweetness but in a naturally healthy way. Use the honey in the marinade as well as later in the grilling process. This will keep the kabobs sweet and give it a caramel taste and flavor while grilling!
  • Olive oil – This will help coat the pork as well as give it the fat that will help transfer the flavors while marinading. It also keeps the pork tender and juicy.
  • Garlic – Minced garlic adds that savory, soft, and sweet flavor that everyone loves!
  • Pork ribs – These are known to be on the sweeter side. Cut the pork ribs into equal square sections for grilling and placing on the skewers.
  • Nectarines – Cut your nectarines in sixths to add to the skewers in a pattern. Nectarines are a tangy-sweet and juicy fruit that everyone loves. The combination with the pork is out of this world!

How to Make Nectarine Pork Shish Kabobs

In just a few steps you will have skewers cooking on the grill! Cut your nectarines, fill the skewers, and grill your favorite combination! Pork and nectarines just go together and have a distinct combination that is delicious and full of flavor!

  1. Mix together and marinate – In a large bowl, mix the first six ingredients and stir in the pork pieces. Place the marinade ingredients in the fridge for at least 30 minutes, longer if possible.
  2. Cut peaches – Cut each nectarine into six wedges.
  3. Fill skewers – Alternate the nectarine and pork on the skewers.
  4. Grill kabobs – Place kabobs on the grill and cook until browned. While cooking, baste the kabobs generously with honey.

Tips for Perfect Summer Grilling

From pork to beef to veggies and fruit, you can skewer and grill virtually anything! We grill out most days of the week during the summer and many of those meals include some sort of kabob or skewer recipe. Prep is simple, clean up is easy and the food tastes incredible!

  • Prepare grill – Oil up your grill grate so the kabobs don’t stick.
  • Watch temperature – Don’t cook kabobs on super-high heat. They’ll burn quickly if you’re not careful.
  • Pellet grill – We like making these on our pellet grill so there aren’t flare-ups. Plus it gives them an added delicious smoky flavor.
  • Soak skewers – Wooden skewers or bamboo skewers can burn easily so I like to soak them in water for about 15 minutes before threading the food onto the sticks.
  • Basting while grilling – While cooking, keep basting the pork and nectarines with honey so the glaze cooks nicely with the food.

What to Serve with Nectarine Pork Shish Kabobs

You can make these as an appetizer or a main dish. Either way be sure you make plenty because they will go FAST! Usually, we make this as a main dish and serve it with either Cilantro Lime Rice or Easy Lemon Rice. I love the zesty rice flavors with the sweet flavor of the skewers. They balance out nicely. You can also serve it over salad greens or with roasted potatoes.

“I made these tonight and they were AWESOME. These are totally my favorite kabobs!!! They are way easy to make, too. YUMMMM! I can’t wait to make them again!”
