These cheesesteak crescent rolls are in permanent dinner rotation at our house! I came up with them one evening while scrounging around for dinner ingredients and they turned out better than I even expected. My family devoured them all in one sitting, and they have become one of their most requested meals. Pair it with a green salad and you’re good to go!

Philly cheesesteak crescent rolls are the perfect combination of savory and delicious in every bite! It has a crispy, buttery flavor with a tender and flakey roll stuffed full of an incredible cheesesteak mixture. Every bite is soft and chewy leaving your tastebuds screaming!

Cheesesteak Crescent Rolls Ingredients

These ingredients are simple and realistic for this recipe! It is quick and easy to make with variations and substitutes to make these little cheesesteak rolls just the way you want them. Enjoy the bite-sized appetizers or dinner! It is the perfect combination of flavor, crunch, and a soft buttery roll!

  • Butter – The butter is used to saute the vegetables together. It also leaves the pan buttery and flavorful as other ingredients are added to the skillet.
  • Onion – Slice and chop the onions into small pieces. This will give each bite a flavorful onion crunch.
  • Green bell pepper – Wash and cut the peppers into small bite-sized cubed pieces. The smaller the better!
  • Roast beef – Get your roast beef right from the deli. It is sliced to the perfect thickness for these rolls.
  • Cream cheese – This is the base of the creamy filling. It comes with flavor and a creamy texture that melts into the ingredients.
  • Crescent rolls – Roll out the crescent roll dough and cut it into triangles. The dough already has lines for this but it is best to use a knife or a pizza cutter to make them more evenly.
  • Swiss cheese – Melty cheese is what we are looking for here! The cheese will melt on the inside leaving every bite a delicious one.

How to Make Cheesesteak Crescent Rolls

These are easy to make and quick for a snack or dinner on a busy night! Cheesesteak crescent rolls are the perfect combination of savory and filling with all the flavors. Eat them with your hands like a sandwich or with a plate and fork. Either way, these stuffed crescent rolls are going to be on your weekly rotation from here on out!

  1. Saute – In a large skillet, saute onion and pepper in butter over medium heat until they become soft and onions become transparent.
  2. Chop and cook – Coarsely chop roast beef and add to onion/pepper mix. Stir for about 2-3 minutes or until roast beef becomes hot. Add cream cheese, stirring until cream cheese is melted and coats the roast beef. Remove from heat.
  3. Prepare crescent dough- Separate crescents dough into triangles and press flat.
  4. Cheese – Slice each Swiss cheese slice into 4 strips and lay each strip over each crescent triangle.
  5. Scoop – Use a cookie dough scoop or spoon about 2 tablespoons of roast beef mixture over each triangle and roll up, pinching the sides of the crescent so the cheese doesn’t ooze out.
  6. Bake – Place crescent rolls on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 375 degrees for 10-13 minutes or until golden brown.

  1. My mother used to make these back in the day before hot packets were a thing. It is an Irish meat pie, she would take left overs and roll them up in biscuit dough (yeast rolls). My favorite was cold meatloaf with mashpotatos or spaghetti, even beef stroganoff was awesome! OK making myself hungry see ya!
