These Boneless Buffalo Wings are just in time for football season! They are hot and spicy and oh so good! Buffalo Wings as an appetizer can be expensive, but not if you make them yourself! These boneless wings are CHEAP to make and, in my opinion, are WAY better than most restaurant wings!
Ingredients in Boneless Buffalo Wings
- Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts – you can also use boneless chicken thighs
- Flour
- Kosher Salt
- Black Pepper
- Cayenne Pepper
- Paprika
- Egg
- Milk
- Vegetable Oil
- Franks Hot Sauce – not the buffalo sauce or the buffalo wing sauce, just the plain hot sauce.
- Butter
- Blue Cheese Dressing for Dipping – use our homemade blue cheese dressing recipe or our creamy blue cheese sauce.
Several Ways to Serve
- The classic way to serve boneless buffalo wings is — as we have pictured — with yummy blue cheese dip and celery sticks on the side. You’ll get no argument here that this is a great way to enjoy these wings. Throw some carrot sticks on there too!
- But there are other great ways to serve them too. If you haven’t tried boneless buffalo wings in as salad, you are missing out. The crunch of the lettuce combined with the spicy and savory flavor of the chicken is a great way to add protein to your salad. And a little pizazz to your meal.
- Or, try them inside a wrap. Similar to the salad, you get all the flavors of the lettuce and other veggies, but with the eat-with-your-hands fun and convenience of having the whole thing wrapped up in a tortilla. Plus, you don’t get your fingers sticky from the wings! We actually made them in a wrap for dinner tonight!

Frequently Asked Questions
Come on now, a messy face is half the fun of eating wings! However, the great thing about boneless wings is that you can eat them with a fork and knife!
Store leftover boneless wings in an airtight container in the fridge. According to the USDA, leftover cooked chicken should last 3 to 4 days in the fridge, if stored properly.
The best way to reheat leftover wings is in the air fryer. Place them in a single layer in the basket and reheat for 5 to 10 minutes, at about 350 to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Depending on how many leftover wings you want to reheat, you might need to do it multiple batches.

- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup milk

- Remove chicken from skillet, place on a baking sheet and place in the oven at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until the chicken is completely cooked through.
- While the chicken is baking combine the hot sauce and butter in a small saucepan and cook on medium-low heat until butter is melted, do not bring to a boil.
- Remove chicken from oven and place in a tupperware-like bowl that has a lid. Pour sauce over the chicken, then cover with the lid. Shake until chicken is covered with sauce.
- Serve immediately with blue cheese or ranch.
Notes
- To make this recipe gluten-free, substitute corn starch for the flour. You really can’t tell the difference!

These are the best wings that I have ever had. Just the perfect amount of heat! I will be making these again SOON!
All family hit!!!! adding to our dinner regimen!A big thank you!!!????
So glad you liked it! Thanks for the 5-stars!
I always thought it was a tablespoon.
I always thought a cube of butter was 1 ounce?
Hmmm, I havent heard that before! When we say cube on here we mean one stick..or one half cup.
Thanks for your nice comment! To answer your question, YES, it is more crispy if you fry it… basically you have to sacrifice crispiness for healthiness.
Maybe try putting it under the broiler
i wasn't sure how much a "cube" of butter was but guess it was a stick so I was happy when you said it was a 1/2 cup and is a stick.
My kids and husband really liked the hot wings. I am not a hot wings fan so I wasn't sure how they were, they only thing they requested was if they could be crunchier. I actually browned them longer than the recipe said, but wondered if when you make them if they are crunchy on the outside or not and if so how to do that, would just cooking them in the frying pan and not doing the oven be better for that effect? Sure am absolutely loving your blog. My family thinks they have eaten the best week ever by my using your recipes, thank you!
1/2 cup.
how much is “a cube” of butter?
