This Peaches and Cream Oatmeal Smoothie is perfect for breakfast on the go. I can throw one of these into a cup and drink my breakfast while I am running all my kids around to school in the morning. Oatmeal smoothies have become increasingly popular because of their added nutrients and sustaining ability.

One of these smoothies will keep you energized to start the day or can also be a great recovery after a workout. I love the flavor too! For me, it’s like having a peach milkshake but better, because this smoothie is only 240 calories!! All the pleasure of a cold and creamy sweet treat without all the guilt, now that is something that I can get behind!

Peaches and Cream Smoothie Ingredients

The honey-greek yogurt in this recipe makes the smoothie extra smooth. The oatmeal part of it isn’t really overpowering. It is all just a nice balance. Especially if you use a blender like a BlendTec or similar blender you will find you don’t get dry little chunks of oatmeal. It really just tastes like peaches and cream! If you aren’t a fan of almond milk, you can always use fat-free milk instead. I like the slight sweetness of the almond milk with honey but it really won’t make a big difference. It will just add a few more calories.

  • Almond milk – There are several variations of almond milk. We used almond milk with honey to add more flavor.
  • Rolled oats – These are quick quaker oats that come in the tube shape form when bought at the grocery store. Perfect for oat smoothies, no baked cookies, or oatmeal itself.
  • Honey greek yogurt – Yogurt has a rich flavor that blends well when mixed together. Continue with the natural sweetness from the honey.
  • Frozen peaches – Sliced frozen peaches help keep the smoothie cold and frozen when blended together.

How to Make a Peaches and Cream Oatmeal Smoothie

It is a simple combination of all the ingredients in the blender at once. Blend or pulse until the peaches are blended well. This will make for a great snack, breakfast, or on-the-go drink throughout the day.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup almond milk with honey
  • 1/4 cup rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup honey greek yogurt
  • 3/4 cup frozen peaches

Instructions

  • Combine all the ingredients in a blender.

Notes

  • Use fresh peaches instead of frozen. Peel fresh peaches and cut into slices or chunks before adding to the smoothie. I like my smoothies really cold so if I’m using fresh fruit I will toss in a handful of ice cubes to make it cold.
  • For extra bulk, add a scoop of vanilla protein powder, chia seeds or flax seed.
  • Peaches are perfect in this smoothie but you can add bananas, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries or pineapple chunks to your fruit for even more flavor.
  • I like to top my smoothie with a sprinkle of cinnamon. The hint of spice really brings out the flavor of the sweet peaches.

    I tried this for a healthy breakfast and it was even better than i ever thought it would be.the tip to blend thoroghly is correct,once the oatmeal is broken up, it thickens the smoothie very well.
    The taste was incredible,i used canned peaches and low calorie,low fat vanilla yogourt,it came out incredible.it is very healthy and filling too.

      There’s always oat/hemp/quinoa/flax/soy and rice milk too! but the milk freezing alternative to ice is great.

    I used vanilla almond milk, a scoop of frozen vanilla yogurt and squeezed in some honey. I also added a scoop of Chia seeds. Delicious!

  7. This sounds like a great way to get my ten year old daughter to eat breakfast. It is a struggle lately and she loves peaches. Are you just adding honey to the almond milk, or does it come that way? I haven’t used almond milk before.
