A visit to the Happiest Place on Earth wouldn’t be complete without some of the most magical treats! From Dole Whip to Monte Cristos, check out our Favorite Foods at Disneyland.

As much as we love Space Mountain and the Peter Pan ride, we get just as giddy about our favorite foods at Disneyland! Disney treats are nearly as iconic as the park itself, so if you’re planning a visit to southern California soon, we’ve gathered our top 16 must try foods at Disneyland. And check out our list of favorite foods at California Adventure too!

1. The Dole Whip and Dole Whip Float in Adventureland

What kind of Disneyland food list would this be if we didn’t start out with the famous Dole Whips? You can find these right outside the Tikki Room. People waiting to go into the Tikki Room have their own line for Dole Whips, which is usually a much shorter wait.

2. Tavern Nachos at Mickey’s Magical Map

These nachos are like a loaded baked potato! Served with kettle chips covered in cheese, bacon, sour cream, and chives, they’re crispy, crunchy and totally cheesy. Grab some and enjoy a show and a little break.

3. Mickey Mouse Beignets in New Orleans Square

These adorable Mickey shaped beignets are found at the Mint Julep bar or at the Cafe Orleans. Try them with some sweet dipping sauces too. And if you’re looking for a beignet recipe to make at home, try our New Orleans Beignets that taste just like the ones you’ll find at Disneyland!

4. Mint Juleps in New Orleans Square

This is a non-alcoholic drink that kind of tastes like a mint lime soda. I could drink these all day. You can find them at the Mint Julep Bar right by the train stop in New Orleans Square. Try our Mint Julep Copycat recipe too. So delish!

5. Steak Gumbo in New Orleans Square

This spicy steak gumbo can be found at the Royal Street Veranda in New Orleans Square. A delicious vegetarian gumbo is available too. One bite and you’ll know why we included this as one of our favorite foods at Disneyland!

6. Monte Cristos in New Orleans Square

If you have never had a Monte Cristo, Disneyland is the best place to try one! You can get this rich, fried ham and Swiss sandwich at Cafe Orleans and the Blue Bayou Restaurant. If you are going for Blue Bayou, be sure to get a reservation in advance. It is in the Pirate’s of the Caribbean ride and the atmosphere is unforgettable, but it does fill up fast.

7. Crispy Chicken Sandwiches in Critter Country

This Crispy Chicken Sandwich is a favorite at the Hungry Bear Cafe in Critter Country. It’s served with a sweet honey mustard sauce that pairs perfectly with the chicken filet. I always get mine with their tasty sweet potato fries. YUM!

8. Big Al’s Chicken Salad (with Watermelon) in Critter Country

Also found at the Hungry Bear Cafe, this salad is seriously to die for. It comes with Smoked Chicken, Watermelon, Candied Pecans, Dried Cherries, Pickled Red Onions, and Honey-Lime Vinaigrette. Refreshing and light, it’s a perfect lunch for in between rides.

9. Fried Green Tomato Sandwiches in Critter Country

These sandwiches are among the most popular foods at Disneyland and for good reason! Sweet cornmeal-crusted fried green tomatoes are layered with two slices of fresh Heirloom tomatoes topped with Havarti, Rémoulade, Jicama-Mango Slaw and served on a Multi-Grain Roll. Top the whole thing off with a side of sweet potato fries and you have a meal that’s bursting with fresh flavors.

10. Chocolate Covered Peanut Butter Sandwich

These sweet treats are found at the Pooh Corner Bakery, right across from the exit of Splash Mountain. The peanut butter and graham cracker covered in smooth chocolate is a perfect pick-me-up snack.

11. Tigger Tails

Another tasty treat from the Pooh Corner Bakery, this is always a hit with kids! Marshmallow dipped in caramel, covered in sprinkles, and drizzled with chocolate stripes. Basically all the food groups that children love, right?

12. Disneyland Corn Dogs

These corn dogs are among the most classic foods at Disneyland. You can find them in several places in the park and they usually come with kettle chips. However the only place that you can get them with french fries is at the Stage Door Cafe in Frontierland.

13. Toasted Ham and Apple Sandwich on Main Street, USA

This tasty sandwich is a relatively new item on the menu at the Jolly Holiday Bakery. It is served with Ham and Swiss and a tangy Apple Chutney. The flavor combination is sweet, savory and scrumptious!

14. Matterhorn Macaroons on Main Street, USA

This is my favorite macaroon of all time. The top is covered in white chocolate to make a mini replica of the famous Matterhorn ride. Grab some for a late night snack on the way out of the park as you’re walking down Main Street.

  1. Maybe you can do a copycat recipe for the Space Junk nachos at Disney California? Or the Churros rolled in pineapple sugar and served with marshmallow fluff dip?

  2. So, there’s just pictures of these foods and no recipes? In an email entitled “Favorite Family Recipes Newsletter 5/27/2015. It kinda leads one to believe that there are going to be recipes of these Disneyland delights. Bummer. : (

  3. OMG, thank you for this great list… I’m drooling! I’ve recently became a vegetarian and had no idea about the two veggie sandwiches you mentioned. Can’t wait to try them and some of the other goodies you wrote about 🙂

  4. You make me want to head right back to Disney land! The Mickey Mouse Beignets in New Orleans Square where my daughter’s all-time favorite too! She ate them so fast she accidentally bit her own fingers!

I am seriously going to try to recreate the chicken salad!
