These sweet and salty Hershey Kiss Pretzels are so cute and so easy to make! They make a great gift or fun after school snack for the kids!
Featured in this recipe
These Hershey Kiss Pretzels are the perfect combination of sweet and salty. The creamy chocolate with the crunch of the pretzel…I might have to make more of these right now! They are so dang good. They come together so quickly and they are easy enough that your kids can help you make them! Have them put the kisses onto the pretzels before they go in the oven, then let them press the M&Ms onto the chocolate once they are out of the oven.
Ingredients In Hershey Kiss Pretzels
- Mini Pretzel Twists – Pretzel twists or pretzel snaps make a great base for these yummy pretzel treats.
- Hershey Kisses – This basic recipe uses milk chocolate kisses.
- M&M Candies – Our basic recipe uses milk chocolate M&Ms.
Variations
You can customize your pretzels any way you’d like! I love getting different colors of M&Ms and other types of kisses/hugs for different events and holidays. Check out some of our favorite variations below.
- The Christmas M&M’s look so festive and cute and you can use the candy cane kisses, peppermint kisses, or Hershey’s hugs.
- The pastel M&Ms that you can get around Easter time work great for bridal showers and baby showers.
- You can use pumpkin spice kisses and the Autumn colored M&Ms for fall or Halloween as well.
- If you want to get really creative you can switch up the M&M flavors as well – like using dark chocolate mint M&Ms with the mint truffle kisses, or white chocolate kisses with a flavored M&M – the possibilities are endless.
- You can also use different shapes of pretzel, like the grid squares or the open circles.
- One commenter suggested using Rolos instead of the kiss, and pressing a pecan into it – making it like a turtle!
Give Hershey Kiss Pretzels as a Gift!
Hershey Kiss Pretzels make great gifts! You can make them in a large batch and then package them in individual baggies as a small gift or treat for friends and neighbors. I like using the small cellophane bags – you can even find them at the dollar store sometimes – and then tying it off with a colorful ribbon! It looks classy but it takes literally seconds. Use some of the different flavor ideas mentioned previously and make baby shower or bridal shower favors, gifts for your kid’s classes at school, Christmas neighbor gifts, birthday party treats, movie night snacks, or just treats in your kid’s lunchboxes.
Recipe Tip
Cover the baking sheet in parchment paper or a silicone baking mat for easy cleanup!
Frequently Asked Questions About Hershey Kiss Pretzels
Hershey Kisses melt at about 108 degrees. They melt slower than other chocolates because they are coated in a thin layer of wax. This makes them perfect for Hershey Kiss Pretzels!
Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature.
It depends on your house temperature and where you live, but normally mine take about 30 minutes to completely cool and set.

Love these but after a couple days stored in an air tight container at room temperature in the pantry the chocolate still turns white (called “blooming” according to what I’ve read). Any other suggestions?
Blooming often occurs with Hershey’s Kisses since they are a lower quality chocolate. Humidity can be a factor – do you live somewhere humid?
Thank you so much for this recipe.
My daughter in law loves them more than the kids.
So glad she likes them! They are just so pop-able, I don’t blame her!
This is very easy to make and tastes delicious..Does not take much time. The first time I made it I melted the kisses. When I put the m&ms on them, the chocolate from the kisses got on my fingers and I had to keep a towel handy to wipe it. I’m making them again, but this time, letting the kisses cool a bit before I press the M&M’s into the chocolate. I looked at the recipe for some hints but did not get an idea of what to do so here I go. I’ll try again..
I’ve made these foe a few years now. So quick and easy to make! I call it “Candy Crack” because they’re so addictive!
Simple and so easy! That’s about all I do. Thank you for this recipe.
I have made these for years but used rolos and half pecans on top. They look like little turtles taste great! They would be cute also with the m&m’s.
We make these just for fun whenever we are craving something sweet and salty! Never last long because they are so good!
Oh my goodness! My teens are going to have fun making this with me! So excited to give this a try!
These were so simple to make and a great snack for the kids!
200 degrees wasn’t hot enough. I had to bump it up to 350.
I make these & put a rolo candy on the pretzel. I put them on a cookie sheet & pop
them in a 350 oven for around 5 mins. When they come out of the oven put a
pecan on top & they are just like a turtle!!!
Those look awesome!!! Thanks for the post Elise! We will definitely be trying these soon!
