Peanut Butter Cup cookies are the perfect bite-sized treat to make when you want something sweet RIGHT NOW and don’t want to slave away over a dessert. Sweet little mini peanut butter cups are nestled into a soft, chewy peanut butter cookie for delightful little bites that disappear about as fast as you can take them out of the oven. We make these for Christmas to add to our goodie plates, but they’re also our go to for Sunday nights when we’re playing games with the family and need a quick dessert. This recipe is terrific to get the kids involved with too; make them unwrap all the candy for you!

This may seem like a complicated process, but there is absolutely no secret. Here’s what you do to get perfect peanut butter cookie cups:

- As soon as they’re out of the oven, gently press a Reese’s cup into the soft., warm cookie.

Delicious and pretty fast and easy to make!
These were soooo delicious! One recipe made me 24 mini cookies in the mini muffin tins and I also made 6 big plain cookies on a regular cookie sheet with the leftover dough. So in case anyone is wondering – This dough makes a fantastic stand-alone peanut butter cookie as well! I LOVE reeses so these are even yummier than the ones I’ve made in the past with the Hershey’s kiss in the middle. Thanks for sharing this recipe!!!
Growing up, my mom always made these and they were definitely one of my favorite treats! Have to make them ASAP!
These came out so good! Loved the peanut butter cup in the center! The perfect touch!
These are one of my all time favorite holiday cookies – so good!
This is by far one of my most favorite recipes of all time. It’s great for cookie swaps!
I gotta give a five star rating cause you can never go wrong with Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups!
Thank you for sharing .. can you share some snacks and dessert ideas that peanut-free? My son just started going to school in peanut-free facility, so sadly we can’t bring anything with peanut.
Yes, we have many treats and desserts without peanut butter. If you go to “recipes” you can filter through our recipes and find what you are looking for. Hope this helps!
The Reeses aren't supposed to be chopped up. You can kind of flatten out the ball if needs be. The cookies are supposed to be pretty big, if you are worried about the cookies being too big you can just use the mini ones like in the picture. Good luck!!
I am confused with the instructions on the regular sized Reese's Peanut Butter cups. Are they supposed to be chopped up? or is this recipe only supposed to make 8-9 cookies with 1 regular sized PB cup pressed into it? That brings up my next question – how big of balls are the cookies supposed to be?
I love looking at you recipe blog! You are so creative and so far everything I've tried I LOVE. Thanks!
These ARE yummy! My Mother-in-law makes them in mini-muffin tins and they look so cute!
Great idea! Thanks! We will try that next time!
these cookies are really fun when you make them in a mini muffin tin, it really concentrates the peanut butter cookie around the reese’s cup.
I have tried this cookie recipe and it is sooo good! My kids couldn’t stop eating them and my two year old ate 7 COOKIES at one time! Do you have any other cookie recipes?
