I love a quick and easy vegetable side dish, and these Air Fryer Baby Carrots fit the bill perfectly! You can have the tender texture and delicious flavor of roasted carrots without turning on the oven! With just carrots, oil, and seasoning you can have a lovely, nutritious side on the table in about 15 minutes. Carrots are full of potassium, vitamin A, fiber, and antioxidants. I’ve been experimenting with all kinds of veggies in the air fryer like asparagus, zucchini, and brussels sprouts. They all cook up beautifully, just like these carrots.

Ingredients in Air Fryer Baby Carrots

  • Baby Carrots – make sure to pat the carrots dry with a paper towel before adding the oil and seasoning. Your carrots will taste so much better!
  • Olive Oil – you can also use avocado oil or melted butter.
  • Dried Rosemary
  • Kosher Salt and Black Pepper

Variations

These Air Fryer Baby Carrots are so simple and you can change up the recipe to your taste. If you like a little more sweetness, add a tablespoon of honey or maple syrup. Not a rosemary fan? Try thyme, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, or sage instead. Try garnishing your carrots with balsamic glaze and some feta cheese. Or garnish with fresh herbs like parsley or fresh thyme.

Frequently Asked Questions about Air Fryer Carrots

Do baby carrots take longer to cook?

Some cooked carrots are cut thinner than baby carrots, so those will cook faster. Most baby carrots take about 12 minutes to cook in the air fryer.

Can you put water in an air fryer to cook vegetables?

You can put a few tablespoons of water in the bottom of your air fryer to keep these carrots from drying out. Never put more than a little bit of water in the air fryer, as it can damage the appliance.

How do I store leftovers?

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Reheat in the microwave or in the air fryer.
