Our Favorite Foods at California Adventure
California Adventure has its own unique and delicious menus with flavors from popular California restaurants. We used to live in the San Francisco Bay area and were crazy about Boudin sourdough and Ghirardelli chocolate. It’s fun to go to Disneyland and California Adventure and eat these things again. In case you missed, it, check out our list of Our Favorite Foods at Disneyland too! And if one of your favorites didn’t make the list, be sure to tell us about it in the comments. Here are our top 12 most favorite foods at California Adventure:
1. Ghirardelli Hot Fudge Sundae
Ghirardelli has a shop right inside California Adventure! Treat yourself to one of the best hot fudge sundaes in the world (we recommend the dark chocolate) or a banana split. Perfect as a mid-day snack or as a delicious treat to end your day at the park.
2. Boudin Sourdough Bread Bowl Chinese Chicken Salad
Tender, crispy chicken salad inside the famous Boudin sourdough bread is one of the must haves on our list, because of all the incredible flavors packed into one meal!
3. Clam Chowder in a Boudin Sourdough Bread Bowl
This clam chowder can also be found at the Pacific Wharf Cafe. We use to get this exact meal on Fisherman’s Wharf in San Francisco. If you love clam chowder, this is an absolute must!
4. Churro Bites with Cinnamon-Spiced Chocolate Dipping Sauce
Disneyland is famous for its delicious churros, but these little bites are my new favorite! You can find them at the Cozy Cones in Cars Land. They win hands down because of the tasty cinnamon chocolate dipping sauce, and the bite size pieces make them much easier to share.
5. Ramone’s “Pear of Dice” Soda
The Cozy Cones are the perfect place to stop for a mid-day snack before getting back to the rides. While you’re stopping for mini churros, try this yummy pear flavored drink! It’s not too sweet and is a perfect refreshment to sip alongside your favorite foods at California Adventure.
6. Bacon Mac and Cheese in a Bread Cone at the Cozy Cones
What could be better than mac and cheese on the go in an edible cone? We shared one of these as a snack and we were fighting over the last bites.
7. Doc’s Wild Grape Tonic at the Cozy Cones
Fizzy and refreshing, this yummy grape flavored drink is a kids’ favorite! Perfect for cooling down on a hot California day.
8. Asian Rice Bowl with Beef at the Lucky Fortune Cookery
One thing I love about foods at California Adventure is how versatile they are! These rice bowls are custom made the way that you like them. Served with steamed rice, seared Asian veggies, you can then select your choice of sauce: Mandarin Orange, Spicy Korean, Thai Coconut Curry, or Teriyaki.
9. Custom Kebab Platters at the Paradise Garden Grill
This is probably my favorite meal in the park! You can find the Paradise Garden Grill next to the Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta place. Choose your favorite protein and one of their tantalizing sauces, then eat it alongside rice pilaf, cucumber salad and grilled pita bread.
10. Chicken Sun-dried Tomato Pesto at Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta
Campanelle Pasta tossed with Sun-dried Tomato Pesto Cream Sauce is another favorite. We also love the Five Cheese Ravioli in Basil Pesto Sauce. This restaurant also has a terrific a la carte menu for picky eaters; they can snack on Smuckers un-crustables peanut butter and jelly sandwichs, apple slices, and chocolate milk while you enjoy your pasta.
11. Lobster Nachos at the Cove Bar on Paradise Pier
These tasty nachos are a fan favorite and among the tastiest foods at California Adventure. Enjoy tender lobster pieces atop fresh corn tortilla chips, black beans, pico de gallo, serrano peppers, cilantro, chipotle crema and lots of cheese. You can find the Cove Bar right above Ariel’s Grotto and so you can take in the amazing view of the pier while you eat.
12. Cream Cheese Pretzels and Jalapeño Cheese Pretzels at Bayside Brews on Paradise Pier
These pretzels are both so cheesy and savory, the perfect snack for a quick pick-me-up in between rides. You can also find these at the Refreshment Corner on Main Street in Disneyland.
