- 9 cups Chex cereal I used a mix of Rice Chex, Corn Chex, and Honey Chex
- 2 cups mini pretzel twists
- 1 cup mixed nuts
- 1 cup Cheez Its
For the Sauce
- 1/3 cup butter
- 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon seasoned salt
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
In a crockpot, add Chex, pretzels, nuts, and Cheez Its. Stir until combined.
In a microwave safe small bowl, melt butter. Add Worcestershire sauce, seasoned salt, garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir to combine.
Pour over Chex mix and stir really well for about 60 seconds. You want the Chex mix to be as evenly coated as possible. Cover and cook on LOW for 3 hours, stirring every 45 minutes to prevent burning. If your crockpot lid doesn't have a hole to let out air, see notes below.
Once the mix is done cooking, pour onto a baking sheet. Let cool for at least 30 minutes before storing or serving.
- If your crockpot lid doesn't have a hole to let air out, place paper towels or a dish towel under the lid to absorb the condensation. Technically, this isn't recommended since it is a fire hazard, but I have never had an issue with it. Without a towel, the Chex Mix will get soggy.
- Let the mix cool completely to room temperature before serving or storing.
- Chex Mix makes a great neighbor gift during the holidays!
