- 3 large ham steaks
- 1 cup teriyaki sauce
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup crushed pineapple
- 1 Tablespoon corn starch
Turn barbecue grill burners on high with the lid down to heat up.
In a small bowl, mix together the cornstarch with 2 Tablespoons cold water. Set aside.
In a small sauce pan over medium heat, mix together the teriyaki sauce, brown sugar, and crushed pineapple.
Whisk the mixture into your saucepan over the stove. Bring the sauce to a boil, then remove from heat when it begins to thicken.
Place ham steaks on grill. They only need a few minutes on each side, just long enough to make nice grill marks. Glaze each side before turning with the teriyaki mixture.
Remove from the grill to a serving plate and top with the remaining sauce.
Cook on the Stove Top
Another way to cook these steaks is cooking on the stove top in a frying pan. You can melt butter in the pan and place the pre-cooked steaks on medium heat, flipping it after a few minutes on each side.
